Greg O'Connell Visits Hampton Hill School

We were really in for a treat today! Greg O'Connell is a cool poet who writes poems in our school journal (and many more). He entertained us with his "Steam punk Poetry show" this morning. Poetry never sounded so exciting!
We loved the way he used his voice and how he made us laugh with his clever use of words.
After morning tea, Greg held a workshop on how to write poetry. Georgia, Hayden, and Jamie were lucky to be selected to sit in on this class.

After lunch, a larger group went to a poetry performing workshop with lots of fun drama games.

We want to thank Greg so much for coming and sharing his love of poetry with us- very contagious!
