For the last 3 weeks we have been walking down to Tawa Pool for swimming lessons. Here are a few photos. The last day had a focus on water safety- which is pretty important in NZ as we don't have to travel far to go for a swim in a lake, a river, or at a beach.

Challenge against Room 8!
The pressure was on with a challenge to get as many people through an obstacle course as possible in 15 minutes.
We're wondering if our quad buddies would like to have a challenge similar to this? Let us know!

School Athletics
What a fantastic day today for school athletics. We tried our hand at vortex throw, shot put, quoit throwing, high jump, long jump and sprints.
Results will be out soon- those who have done exceptionally well will be representing our school at the Tawa Zone Athletics Meet, and then maybe even on to the Wellington event.
Here are some photos of the vortex, long jump and high jump events

Cricket Awareness Day
A couple of Cricketers with Cricket Wellington came along today to show us some cricket skills and to promote cricket for the coming season. A freezing day with the wind blowing straight from Antarctica but a good time had by all!

Hampton Hill School Olympic Sports Day
After a very wet Sunday the sun shone on a fun day at school today. We had our very own Olympic Sports Day. The whole school was divided up into different countries to compete. What a terrific time!- A huge thanks to Mr Murray for all the work he put into organising this.

It's all happening at our school! Today we had Nua Finau and Kelo Latuila come and teach us rugby skills. These guys help run All Blacks Camp 4 Kids and gave us a bit of a taster of what is involved.
